David Milner, cofounder of SYNPERIA, is a Los Angeles-based artist, architect and designer. After completing undergraduate studies in painting, art history, philosophy and literature, he got his Master of Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, he worked as a builder before moving to Los Angeles where he worked in the furniture studio at Frank Gehry and Associates.
Throughout David’s career as a practicing architect, he has consistently painted and built furniture as a way of cross-pollinating each discipline. At SYNPERIA, David is interest in creating a studio which formalizes these relationships. |
Travis Frankel, cofounder of SYNPERIA, is a Los Angeles-based artist, architect, motorcyclist and designer. After gaining a background in construction and a degree in Architecture and Studio Art from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he moved to Los Angeles to practice architecture. While at Lehrer Architects, he managed many award winning projects including the Los Angeles County Elections Center which won a AIA National Award.
In 2007, Travis cofounded the art collaborative: SiteWork LA, which has created work exhibited throughout Los Angeles, including the Architecture & Design Museum. Travis’s background in construction along with his experience as an artist and architect are at the core of the SYNPERIA design process. |
